Costa Rican vacations just got even MORE affordable!  

I can't believe it has taken me so long to find AirBNB!  The search widget to the right shows the amazing locations of traditional and not so traditional options available throughout the PLANET!.

Who are the people that comprise this network?  If you use it, it could be you as well as a bevy of unique individuals from all walks of life, retired couples, individuals and families.

A comprehensive series of optional (if you want people to trust you, you almost have to do them) "verifications" can be done, ranging from written referrals, and social site verifications.  

When you consider Facebook is used by Human Relations folks in checking employee applications, how good are these for you in assuring yourself about potential renters or landlords? 

Of the 979 results for the search of "Costa Rica" (and 471 of which are "Entire Home or Apartment,") there is a range of rents from $10 a night to $2,500 a night!

Trust me, I would choose to the lower range!  And quite a great "in between" to choose from!

As one couple describes their Guajira de Pacifico Vacation Rental offering,  to the AIRBNB community:
"We offer in 2 acres property one Tropical Log house and one Palapa Cabin for rent, located in the heart of Playa Negra, walking distance to the beach and steps to bars and restaurants."  Cost?  $31 a night.

Another of the members of the network describes their offering in Costa Rica:

"The Diamante Cabin with views to the spectacular Diamante Waterfalls (the second highest waterfall in Central America and the highest in Costa Rica) is located in the tranquil town of San Salvador, which sits in a valley halfway through San Isidro del General and Dominical on the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica."  

Cost?  $35 a night.

Another interesting feature:  All the ads are posted for free by AirBNB, membership is, free!
